We now have a fantastic opportunity to appoint two innovative and forward-thinking leaders to join our senior team and drive our exciting agenda forward.

Head of Highway Services £105,670

Reporting to our Corporate Director of Neighbourhoods and Climate Change you will lead Highways Services across the vast geography of Durham county, developing and implementing the council’s strategic and operational highways functions. Your remit will include a significant in-house delivery team, the provision of an engineering consultancy for highway design and improvements and a number of other exciting civil engineering schemes.

Head of Transport & Contract Services £105,670

Reporting to our Corporate Director of Regeneration, Economy and Growth, and as a key member of the service management team, you will lead the council’s transport strategies and plans to deliver a transport network, which meets the needs of the county today and into the future. You’ll be driving operational efficiency, adept at working with a range of stakeholders as well as responsible for a highly ambitious investment agenda to support the economic strategy and climate change plans for the county.
